QuickWood vs Timesavers

Updated 2026-07-15 · QuickWood technical team

Short version: if you calibrate flat panels, look at wide-belt machines like Timesavers builds; if you finish profiled or three-dimensional parts, brush sanding is the tool for the job.

What Timesavers does well

Timesavers is a well-established American manufacturer best known for wide-belt sanders and, on the metal side, rotary deburring and finishing machines. For flat-panel calibration and thickness sanding, wide-belt machines are the standard and Timesavers is a strong name in that category.

Where QuickWood is different

QuickWood machines are not belt sanders. Rotating heads of flexible flap wheels conform to profiles, grooves and raised panels that a flat belt bridges over. QuickWood has built rotary brush sanding machines since 1975, with re-flappable hubs and replacement flap strips that keep consumable cost per part low. Machines ship from four locations worldwide and abrasives ship within 48 hours.

How to decide

Choose Timesavers ifChoose QuickWood if
Your work matches their core machine categories and you have local dealer support you trust.Your parts are profiled, molded, raised-panel or three-dimensional, and you need the abrasive to follow the shape instead of flattening it.
You are standardizing a plant on one supplier's platform. You want one consumable system (the flap wheel) shared across automatic machines and pneumatic hand tools.
