The entry point to the QuickWood system: a flap wheel head with a 3/8" drill-chuck pin, available in 2" and 4" widths. Shops use it to trial QuickWood abrasive before committing to air tools or machines, and keep it afterward for touch-up and off-station work. Runs the same replacement flaps as the rest of the system.

Call it a drill flap wheel, a flapper wheel for a drill, or a drill sanding wheel — it's the same tool, and this is the production-grade version. The head connects to any standard 3/8" chuck, and the flexible abrasive flaps wrap profiles, round-overs, coves and raised panels that a flat sanding pad skips over. It runs the same replaceable flap strips as our machines, so when the abrasive wears you swap strips, not the tool.
Pair it with the twisted steel wire brush for the two-step rustic finish: the wire brush cuts the weathered texture, the flap wheel burnishes it smooth before stain.
Yes — the 3/8" pin fits any standard 3/8" or 1/2" drill chuck, cordless or corded, plus drill presses. No adapters needed.
Replacement flap strips run from 80 grit for shaping through 320 for finish sanding — the same grit range as our machine wheels.
